    Was in the mood for shrimp and grits but didn't feel like driving anywhere. To be honest I only ordered food from here because they had that on Uber Eats. I had low expectations but this place was absolutely delicious! I also ordered the catfish with red beans and rice and cabbage. Everything was seasoned to perfection and authentically flavored! Next time I'll take a drive over to the restaurant. I'll definitely be having this again.

    I love the food!!!! Amazing!!! Anyone want anything close to home/to The heart... this is the place!!! Food is delicious! Gumbo is the best! Thank you Memaw's and whoever is chopping up the food! The price fits the food perfectly! This place is epic! Hidden gem!!!!

    when i say run don't walk... I MEAN IT. food was a solid 15/10. ordered take out and not even that impacted the good eats wish i took pictures but the minute we took it out the bag, we couldn't wait. we ordered the catfish combo plate with rice & red beans, the shrimp and grits w andouille sausage, with a side of sweet potato cornbread & the banana pudding for dessert. you know when you taste something so good you stop mid chew just to appreciate and savor the flavor??? that's EXACTLY how it was but during the whole meal. the only thing coming out of our mouths was a plethora of "ooh's & ah's." you can absolutely tell that the kitchen knows what they're doing. & they fasho put their foot in ALL OF IT. Memaw's Gumbo just got some return customers for life. usually yelp only gets me typing when i've experienced something atrocious at an establishment. but i HAD to come show some love because the food was phenomenal. we can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
